The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a movie released in 2008. The Hollywood blockbuster tells the story of a man who was born an old man and ages backwards, living his life in reverse until he becomes a baby that is eventually re-born.

True Romance (1993)

True Romance is a romantic comedy film directed by Tony Scott and starring Christian Slater as Clarence Worley, Patricia Arquette as Alabama Whitman, James Gandolfini as Vincenzo Coccotti, Val Kilmer as Clifford Worley, and Bronson Pinchot as Dick Ritchie. And a smaller part by Brad Pitt.

Burn After Reading (2008)

In the Coen brothers’ film, “Burn After Reading,” a CIA agent’s memoir falls into the hands of two unscrupulous employees at a fitness club. The unlikely duo sets out to use their find to make some money and give themselves more power in the world.

What they don’t know is that someone else has found out about their secret and will stop at nothing to take it from them – including murder.

Allied (2016)

Ad Astra (2019)

Ad Astra is a 2019 American science fiction film directed by James Gray, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ethan Gross.

The film stars Brad Pitt as an astronaut who goes into space in search of his lost father (Tommy Lee Jones), whose experiment threatens the solar system. Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler, and Donald Sutherland also star.

The project was announced in early 2016 when Pitt signed on to star. Gray wanted to make a “very realistic” space movie and to avoid depicting space travel in a “fantastical” way.

He drew inspiration from scientific articles and conversations with NASA personnel; he visited NASA’s Johnson Space Center multiple times and spent time with astronauts training for future lunar missions.

Killing Them Softly (2012)

Killing Them Softly is a 2012 American crime film directed by Andrew Dominik and starring Brad Pitt, based on the 1974 novel Cogans Trade by George V. Higgins.

The film is about three small-time crooks who rob a Mob-protected illegal gambling operation, which prompts the Mob to send in two hitmen, Jackie and Mickey to deal with the perpetrators.

According to Dominik: “It was an opportunity to do something different, and I just wanted to see Brad’s face in close up like that.”

The film marked Dominik’s second collaboration with Pitt, following its predecessor The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007).

Producer Ridley Scott stated he and Pitt were attracted to the script because it gave them an opportunity to work together again after their previous collaboration on Thelma & Louise (1991).
