Ice Cube is an American rapper, actor, producer, and filmmaker, best known for his groundbreaking work as a member of the rap group N.W.A. and his solo career in both music and film. Cube made the transition to acting in the early 1990s, starring in films such as Boyz n the Hood (1991), which explored the struggles of young black men growing up in South Central Los Angeles. He went on to star in and produce the Friday series (1995, 2000, 2002), which became a beloved cult classic for its depiction of urban life and comedic characters.
