Robert Wise

Robert Wise was an American film director, producer, and editor, known for his wide-ranging career in both musicals and thrillers. He won Academy Awards for Best Director and Best Picture for West Side Story (1961), a cinematic adaptation of the Broadway musical that became a cultural touchstone.
