The Gingerdead Man (2006)

The Gingerdead Man is a 2006 horror comedy film directed by Charles Band and starring Gary Busey and Gerrit Graham.

The film’s title is a pun on the name of the character “Freddy Krueger” from the A Nightmare on Elm Street series, with “ginger” meaning that he is made of gingerbread, and “dead man” referring to his death in the first film.

The movie starts with a crusty gingerbread man who, when baked in an oven, comes to life.

Elves (1989)

All the elves are happy-go-lucky and love to sing, dance and play. But one of them, Buddy, is different than the others.

He’s a stowaway from the North Pole and he has no magical powers. Slowly he begins to win over the other elves with his good nature and hard work.

Toby (Bob Newhart) is a toy manufacturer who is tired of his job, his wife, his life. One day while walking to work, he finds a baby on a park bench and takes him home.

At first everyone believes it’s just another “ghetto baby” but they soon discover that they have an elf in their house who only eats candy canes and ice cream cones!

The film was written by Dennis Paoli (who wrote for “Taxi”) and directed by Jon Turteltaub (who would go on to direct “While You Were Sleeping”) so it’s not surprising that it’s a little sappy at times but it does have some great music.

The story follows Buddy, an elf who has been sent as punishment to live with a human family. It’s not easy for him at first as he must fit in with the rest of the family and help out around the house while not revealing his

P2 (2007)

P2 is a 2007 American science fiction horror film directed by David Gelb. The film follows two men who awaken in an apartment with no memory of how they got there and soon discover that they are pawns in a deadly game perpetrated by a sadistic killer.

Told entirely from the male characters’ perspective, P2 is played out, like the majority of horror films, from the viewpoint of a couple of average guys. John (Peter Cilella) and Ben (Jay Ellis) awake in an apartment with no idea how they got there or what they were doing before they were knocked unconscious.

They soon discover that they are not alone in the apartment and that they are being observed by someone outside their room via camera. They also find out that the person watching them is intent on killing them; it becomes clear as the film progresses that one of them will die at some point during the film.

The movie switches back and forth between scenes inside the apartment and scenes shot from the point of view of someone watching them from outside.

There are scenes showing the watcher’s activities – for example, he makes dinner for his daughter when not spying on our protagonists – giving us an insight into his character as well as some clues about what may be happening.

Billy then runs off into the snowy woods and comes across a church where a group of carolers are gathered. He slips into the church and fires on them with a gun he took from the dead truck driver.

He then runs away into the night again, eventually finding his brother’s home. His brother has recently died and so he decides to stay there for Christmas Eve as it will be quiet and lonely; however, when two girls come over that evening to watch videos, he kills them both and holds their father at gunpoint until morning so that he can have time to commit more murders without fear of being discovered.

The next day, he returns to find the mannequin is gone. In his apartment, Harry angrily confronts his mother, Lorraine, who has sold all of his father’s toys out of the house.

As she leaves, he swears revenge on Santa Claus because his father had told him that Santa would bring him a bike when he was younger and never did.

After having dinner with her boyfriend and his family that evening through a window while watching them eat Christmas Eve dinner from outside in the snow, Lorraine returns home and sleeps with Harry.

She tells him that she only does so on Christmas Eve because she does not want to deprive anyone else of their Christmas or leave Harry without a mother for 25 years like she herself did when she was abandoned by her own mother in front of a department store when she was just a child. Sint (2010)

It was early February when I arrived at the inn, a short distance from my destination. The snow had been falling since the day before and it did not stop until the late afternoon.

By then I had to continue the last couple of miles to my destination by bike.

And that is how I met Sint. Sinterklaas, or Sint (Dutch for St. Nicholas) as we know him in Flanders and the Netherlands, is coming everywhere in December and not only in December but earlier as well. In some places he even came on New Year’s Eve.

That night, I was working until midnight and naturally could not see him.

In Belgium it’s a big thing, you know? We have a lot of festivities throughout December, but none of them can hold a candle to St Nicholas’ arrival in mid-November.

In the weeks leading up to his arrival, kids are good and parents are bad: they don’t give candy or presents to their kids (who are going around singing songs about his arrival), whereas St Nicholas is good to all kids and gives them lots of presents.

A Cadaver Christmas (2011)

The body of a Christmas tree seller is found in the local cemetery with a silver coin in his mouth and antlers on his head.

The team finds evidence that he was murdered at the scene and not killed by a deer as originally thought. They learn that the victim was selling fake Christmas trees made from cheap materials imported from China.

A man is arrested after leaving some of these trees on the doorstep of an environmentalist, who had been picketing against them.

The man claims he was simply trying to provide the woman with a Christmas tree, but she falls off her picket line when she sees it and hits her head, causing her to be hospitalized.

The team then learns that the accused has been stealing copper wire from a train yard where he works and selling it as scrap metal. This explains how he could afford the expensive antlers needed to trick people into buying his cheap trees.

The woman who fell off her picket line sued over the incident, so he decided to get revenge by framing her for murder.

He killed Christmas tree seller for his suit, which contained silver coins in its pockets, so he could plant them in the woman’s home as proof of motive.

A Christmas To Dismember (2016)

Wondering if A Christmas To Dismember (2016) is worth watching? Read what people are saying and check out the latest trailers. Comments from IMDb users:

A Christmas To Dismember is a must watch for any horror fan. It brings back memories of the classic slasher days where there were no rules and anything goes. Well, except for this movie! This should be played during Halloween season but for now you can catch it on Netflix. It’s very dark in tone with unexpected humor that works in certain parts but not all of the time.

The story is fairly simple and I won’t ruin it by going into details. Let’s just say you don’t have to be Christian or religious to enjoy this movie because it really doesn’t rely on any of that to tell it’s story.

There are some great performances throughout by most of the cast but again, some of their over-the-top acting takes away from the overall effectiveness of their scenes.

I would recommend seeing this if you can get past some of the flaws because it does get better as it goes along.

Christmas Nightmare (2001)

On Christmas Eve, a single father and his two children find their home under attack by an escaped convict. While waiting for Santa Claus to deliver the toys their father bought for them, the kids are forced to defend the house from the intruder.

If you’re a fan of movies like Die Hard and Bad Boys, this is another one for you. If you’re not a fan of those movies, this is another one for you!

It’s got everything that makes those films work: a big cast of characters (and lots of opportunities for them to be killed off), a hero that’s skilled but not invincible, and lots of witty banter (and occasional silliness) between lines of action.

The story starts off with a family sitting around their tree trying to stay awake while they wait for Santa Claus. Their dad keeps falling asleep in the middle of telling exciting stories about the “nightmare before Christmas” (which, by the way, gets its name from this film).

Then bad guys show up at their window in an attempt to get money from them. It turns into a battle of wits between the robbers and our heroes as they try to stay alive long enough to enjoy Christmas morning.

Dismembering Christmas (2015)

The year is 2015. The place is a small town in Maine. A woman is driving her car with her children on the way to visit their grandparents for Christmas.

Along the way, she gets a text from her husband who’s not going to be able to meet them there. He has to work and sends his love.

When she arrives at her parents’ house, she discovers that her father hasn’t been able to put up the Christmas tree because he’s injured his foot. Her mother takes up the task of getting it done but can’t quite finish the job before their children go to bed on Christmas Eve.

The following morning, the grandmother attempts to put on a full breakfast for everyone but can’t quite manage it due to a bad hip. Her daughter-in-law offers to do it instead but as she’s cooking, her cell phone battery dies so she has no way of knowing when the turkey is ready.

Later that day, Santa Claus arrives at their house and leaves a few presents under the tree. Nobody knows who they’re from except for one gift where they can see, by looking at the bottom of the box, that it was purchased at WalMart.
