This is where you get to offer your products and services for free on a website that has limited functionality and features that can be very limiting in terms of what you can do with them.

These are usually very low-quality sites that don’t have much of an impact on your customers or potential customers because they don’t really appeal to them as much as paid sites do.

Paid Online Course Platforms

On the other hand, you have paid online course platforms.

These are similar to the free versions, only usual with the paid version you get a lot more features – premium and advanced features that make the app worth paying for.

2. Thinkific

The first step in making money from your knowledge is to identify your audience. This may sound simple, but it can be a critical mistake for many people.

It’s easy to assume that everyone would want to learn what you know, but the reality is that this is rarely true.

The best way to identify your ideal student is to think of the students you’ve enjoyed teaching in your career so far. What were their struggles and how did they overcome them?

How did those lessons change their lives?

You should also think about the people who have complimented you on your work, or who have asked you for advice. These are usually great indicators that they value your expertise and would be interested in learning more from you!

Once you’ve identified an audience, it’s time to start researching them. Think about where your ideal students hang out online — this could be on social media, forums or blogs — and start engaging with them there.

You can ask them questions about their lives and careers, share interesting articles and eventually introduce the idea of taking a course from you. The more research you do before creating your course, the better chance you have at creating something that people are actually looking for!

Teachable also has excellent support. They’re very responsive over chat and email and they have an entire knowledge base with in-depth articles and video tutorials to help you get your course up and running.

The only thing I’ve found that causes confusion is the pricing structure. It’s not completely obvious what plan you should choose when you’re starting out, but hopefully this review will help make things clear.

Settings: Access all of your course settings, including the look and feel, security settings, payments, integrations, and more.

Course Navigation: Build out your course curriculum in a structure that works for you. To add a section click “+ Add Section” (1) then type in the name of your new section (2) and click “Save” (3).

You can choose to create a unit or lesson right away by selecting one of those options in the dropdown menu when you click “+ Add Unit/Lesson” (3) or you can click “+ Add Unit/Lesson” first to create it without adding any content.

How Do I Create and Sell Online Courses?

How Do I Create and Sell Online Courses? You probably have a hobby or interest that you are passionate about.

It could be something that you can share with others, such as yoga or cooking. If you are an expert in your field, then you can create online courses to teach other people and make money online.

How to create an online course

  1. Plan your course The first step is to plan what you want to teach people. Think about the topic, the content and the structure of your course. You can add videos, quizzes and other resources that will help your users learn.
  2. Create the content Once you’ve planned your course, it’s time to start creating the content. You can use video, audio, written materials or a combination of these things to share your knowledge with others. The best way to show people how to do something is by demonstrating it on video. Once you’ve got all the content ready, it’s time for the next step.
  3. Choose a platform for selling courses There are many different platforms where you can create and sell courses online. You should look at the available options and choose one that will work well for your needs. It’s important to find a site that has good customer support

1. Figure Out the Cost to Develop Your Online Course

There are many ways to create an online course, and the cost can vary widely, depending on your needs. You may be wondering how much it will cost to develop your online course.

The first step is to decide what type of online course you want to create. Do you want to host a series of webinars or live sessions?

Is it going to be a self-paced course that learners can access at any time? Or do you want to provide a blended experience with both live and self-paced learning?

These are just some of the questions you need to think about as you develop your online course. This is important because if you charge too little, you’re not going to make much money.

If you charge too much, you may price yourself out of the market and not sell very many courses. It’s a balancing act.

You want to generate as much revenue as possible while still offering your customers value.

There’s no one right answer for how to price your course. There are too many factors involved for that.

And it’s important to remember that pricing is a testable variable – if your prices aren’t producing the results you want, try changing them and run another test!

2. Use the Best Software and Equipment to Develop Your Online Course

The best software and equipment for developing an online course can be a bit overwhelming. I recently attended a conference in which there were dozens of competing products — everything from microphones to webinar platforms to video cameras. It was enough to make my head spin!

You might be wondering if you really need all this fancy equipment. The truth is, no, you don’t have to have the latest gadgets or take out a second mortgage just to create an online course.

You can get started with what you already have, like your laptop’s built-in microphone and webcam.

However, I’ve been teaching online courses for over 10 years now and I’ve found that investing in good software and equipment makes a big difference in the quality of your work. It also saves me time, since I’m not constantly troubleshooting or fiddling with my tech setup.

When it comes to video production software and equipment, an old adage applies: “You get what you pay for.” With that in mind, here are some of the most essential pieces of software and equipment for producing online courses that look and sound professional:

3. Screen recording program for course creation

  1. Record the screen in HD quality (1080p)
  2. The ability to add text, images, audio and video
  3. Easy to use and no experience required
  4. Produce files that can be uploaded to YouTube, Facebook or Vimeo.
  5. Ability to “pause” while recording so I can explain something without being on camera every time
  6. Create courses with sections and lessons
  7. Storage space and ability to easily upload them to my own website instead of publishing it on their platform
  8. Export videos in different formats (mp4, avi, wmv…)
  9. Royalty free music included on the program and the ability to add other music from my computer or from the internet (with legal rights)
  10. Ability to add subtitles or captions in different languages (including Spanish)
  11. Zoom feature while recording so I can focus on a specific area of the screen and “hide” or blur part of it (privacy reasons)
  12. Ability to edit videos after they

4. USB Webcam for course creation

As soon as I started creating my first Udemy course, I realized that I needed a high-quality USB webcam to record my screen. Back in 2000, when I first started teaching in a classroom, I bought a Logitech Quickcam.

It provided great video quality, but lacked autofocus and the sound was terrible. When I bought this Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, it was so much better than my old one.

It has full 1080p HD video with up to 30 fps capabilities and H.264 compression for faster uploading of your videos.

The built-in dual stereo microphones provide excellent sound quality and can easily be heard in larger rooms. One feature that really stands out is its ability to automatically focus on your face so that you stay in clear focus as you move around during recording.

Another benefit is its small size and weight which allows it to easily be moved around or taken with you on business trips so you can record videos at any time and any place.

6. Lighting and accessories for course creation

Lighting is the most important aspect of any video. It can completely change the visual quality of your course. Lighting can also be very expensive, but there are ways to get around this. Here are a few basic tips:

If you’re shooting indoors, use natural light (a window) as much as possible! This will give you the best-looking light. If you have to use artificial lighting, make sure you’re using soft light sources that are diffused or bounced off a wall or ceiling. You don’t want direct light on your face or subject!

Avoid overhead lighting like fluorescent tubes in the ceiling, because they cast unflattering shadows on faces and make it difficult to see your eyes clearly. When lighting a subject (like food or an object), make sure there’s no glare and that all sides of the subject are evenly lit.

3. Create Valuable Content for Your Online Course

You’re going to want to create the best course you possibly can. After all, you’re not just creating it to just make a quick buck. You want to give your students valuable knowledge and help them become more successful in their respective fields.

When you start thinking about how to sell courses online, you need to keep in mind what makes an online course great. he key is to find the best way that you can deliver information.

It’s no secret that there are a lot of options when it comes to creating content for your online course. You can use any combination of text, audio, images or video.

The best way for you to deliver information will be the one that helps your students learn the most effectively.

If you’re not sure what medium is best for your online course, don’t worry about it too much right now. Instead, focus on creating valuable content for your course, then worry about how you’ll deliver that information later on.

4. Differentiate Your Website for Your Online Course

Your website is the first impression most prospective students will have of your course. That means it’s an important part of your marketing strategy.

A well-designed, easy-to-navigate website can help you enroll more students in your online course, while a poorly designed site may hurt your ability to find customers.

Your website should feature unique design elements that highlight what makes your course different from all the others out there. Here are some ways to make sure your site stands out:

Provide detailed information about yourself, your business and your online course to give prospective students a sense of who you are, why you’re qualified to teach the course and what they can expect from it.

Feature testimonials and reviews from past students who were satisfied with their experience in your course. This can be a powerful way to draw new students in by showing them that they’re not alone — other people have taken the course before and achieved their goals.

5. Take Time to Market Your Business for Your Online Course

Taking time to market your business for your online course is a great investment. If you have the time and energy, you can do it all yourself. Otherwise, consider hiring someone to help you.

Here are some tips for marketing your online course: Be where your customers are. If your audience is on social media, then you need to be there too, and participating. Posting links to your videos won’t do much good if no one sees them.

Instead, think about how you can use social media in new ways — not just posting links, but also interacting with users through Q&As and contests. Expose yourself to new audiences. You might be tempted to stay within the boundaries of the audience you already know and like — those who already know about your product or service and are interested in it.

That’s a good approach, but don’t forget that there’s an even bigger world out there that doesn’t know anything about you yet! Consider using things like Facebook ads or Google Adwords to introduce yourself to new audiences.

Get feedback from users as early as possible. It’s never too early to get people talking about your product or service and giving you feedback on what they like and don’t like about it. This will help you refine the product

6. Have Control Over Your Brand for Your Online Course

The team at Blue Sky E-Learning has over a decade of experience in creating online courses. We’re going to share some of our best tips and tricks with you in this series.

For many businesses, having control over your brand is critical. This is especially true when it comes to your online courses. You must have the ability to brand your eLearning course in order to create a seamless user experience for your learners.

Branding your online course includes Making sure the course has the same look and feel as the rest of your company’s visual identity. From colors, fonts and logos to imagery — everything should be consistent across all platforms.

Adding a “company voice” to your training content so that it reflects your mission statement and core values. The tone and message of the content should mirror what you do every day as a business.

Not only will these steps ensure that your learners are immersed in an environment where they feel comfortable, but they’ll also help build trust between them and your company. We know you want to provide an exceptional user experience for all of your learners, but sometimes it can be difficult to manage all of the moving pieces involved in creating an online course.

7. Deliver an Exceptional Learning Experience in Your Online Course

You’ve put a lot of time and effort into creating your online course, so now it’s time to get it out there, right? Well, not exactly.

There is one more important step before you can share your course with others: setting up the learning experience.

What do we mean by “learning experience?” It’s the structure of how you want your students to experience your content: what they learn, how they learn it, and how long it takes them to learn it.

Your learning experience will vary depending on the content of your course. For example, an online yoga course might be broken up into several shorter classes, while a photography class may include written assignments and photo reviews.

In this post, we’ll cover how to create a learning experience for your online course that provides value to your students and helps them achieve their goals.

8. Your online course platform should Integrate with Other Tools

Your online course platform should integrate with other tools you use. This will save a lot of time. For example, if you have an email service provider that helps you build your list and maintain contact with the people on it, you want to make sure that your course creator integrates with this service provider. And vice versa.

It’s very common for course creators to provide integration options with some of the most popular email service providers. However, if you have a unique one and it doesn’t support integration, then you may be out of luck.

You don’t want to have to manually add or remove people every time they sign up or unsubscribe from your list manually.

So when choosing an online course platform, make sure that it syncs well with other services that are important to you and your business. Even though it might not seem like a big deal now, this can save a lot of time in the future by automating certain tasks.

What is an online course platform?

An online course platform is a software application that enables you to host your online courses, manage students and assess their progress, collect payments, and deliver content to your students all in one place. online course platforms allow teachers, trainers, coaches, and content creators to create and sell courses, whether for corporate training purposes or personal use.

A typical online course platform will be packed with features that help you: – Create a professional looking landing page for your course (a “course catalog”) – Process payments – Organize participants into classes – Communicate with participants via email or integrated messaging within the platform.

– Facilitate learning through lessons and assignments – Assess students’ progress via tests and exams – Give certificates of completion.

Is an all in one online course platform worth it?

A comprehensive all in one online course platform is a great way for you to create multiple courses, or even sell your course through several sales funnels. When you have the ability to sell multiple courses by using one online platform it’s a lot easier to make a profit from your online course business.

If you’re wondering if an all-in-one solution is worth it for your online courses, then consider these factors: – You can create multiple courses – You can set up your own sales funnel – You can have everything under one roof – It’s easier to manage than having multiple websites and platforms.

What should I look for in an online course platform?

When you’re deciding what criteria are important in an online course platform, it helps to start by defining your ideal student experience. The better the user experience, the more likely your students will be successful in completing their courses and the more likely they’ll be to recommend your courses to others.

Ask yourself: What’s my ideal learning environment? How do I want my students to feel? What would make them want to recommend my course to others? These questions can help you figure out what matters most when it comes to learning platforms.

Here are some features to consider: Ease of use. Students should be able to think about the content of your courses, not the technology needed for them. That means the platform needs to be easy for students to navigate and intuitive for them to understand.

A good learning platform will have a clear structure that keeps things simple for learners. Scalability. As your program grows, you don’t want your online course platform holding you back. Look for a platform that can seamlessly scale with you as your student population grows.

The best learning platforms will also help you easily create new programs and offer lifelong learning opportunities with public-facing course catalogs and industry-standard credentials (such as PESC). Support resources. Look for a

Can I sell physical products with an online course platform?

I think the answer is yes, but I would need to proof the concept before I would be comfortable using an online course platform for physical products. Here is a potential issue. I’m going to use Teachable as an example (since that’s what I use), but I think it applies across all course platforms.

Teachable has two options for payment—using their own Stripe account or your own Stripe account. If you’re selling digital products, it doesn’t matter which option you choose. But if you’re selling physical products, then you probably want to use your own Stripe account because you’ll want to collect the customer’s address and phone number for shipping purposes.

Now, here’s the issue. Teachable charges a transaction fee on top of the Stripe transaction fee. That transaction fee is only applied when using your own Stripe account, not when using their own Stripe account.

if you’re selling physical products and use your own Stripe account, then you have to pay that extra transaction fee on every order! That’s why I said I would need to test out a physical product before I’d be comfortable doing it in Teachable (or any other online course platform).

Are there free online course platforms?

There are plenty of free online course platforms Udemy, for example, offers a wide range of courses on literally every topic you can think of. In fact, the sheer number of available courses can be overwhelming.

However, most Udemy courses are paid, so you’ll need to first find a free course. Coursera offers a range of free courses and other paid courses that run in four- to ten-week sessions.

You’ll have access to graded assignments, but the site doesn’t offer academic credit or certificates unless you pay additional fees. If you want to teach online courses, consider Teachable or Thinkific.

These sites include basic course creation tools that you can use for free up to a point; after that, you’ll have to upgrade to paid plans in order to get advanced features such as email marketing integrations and affiliate programs. You can then charge students any price you choose for your own courses.
