Creative Digital Advertising Trends
What Are Digital Advertising Trends?
Advertising is evolving in the digital age.
The new advertising landscape has changed how advertisers, agencies, and publishers connect with consumers and how they leverage data to reach them effectively across all devices, platforms and environments.
Digital advertising is the process of using digital channels to advertise a product, service or brand.
These channels include your website, social media accounts, digital billboards and search engine results pages.
The goal of digital advertising is to target and reach a specific audience. Digital channels provide advertising opportunities that weren’t available in more traditional mediums like print, radio and television.
Digital advertising has taken off in recent years, as a wave of new technologies and platforms have emerged, offering both advertisers and consumers an entirely new way to reach each other.
As an advertiser, you can use these technologies to make your campaigns more effective, while consumers can expect to see more relevant content that’s better targeted to them.
Best Creative Digital Ad Trends
Images, videos and GIFs are becoming more popular and have the ability to grab your spectators’ attention. If you use an image on your ad, try using one that represents your business in a clever manner.
You can also create your own memes in order to catch people’s attention. For example, if you run a pizza shop, you can make a meme with a picture of pizza and it says “You’re going to love my pizza.”
Try using GIFs in your ads as well.
It gives a more personal touch and allows you to show how your product is used in real-life situations.
You can even use meme generators like memegenerator.net or quickmeme.com in order to create memes for your product if you don’t feel like making them yourself!
But now there are many new digital advertising trends which are making their way into the market.
Another trend worth mentioning this year is adding humor to your ads. It helps in getting your message across in a subtle and comical way to your target audience.
Apart from this, having visually appealing characters and cartoon characters also help suit your brand’s personality as well as convey your message to the consumers effectively.
Another trend which is currently soaring high is live streaming of television and online advertisements so that they can be watched by people on their mobile phones and personal computers simultaneously.
While doing so, brands usually incorporate twitter hashtags, competitions etc to make it more interactive for viewers.
Project Management For Video Creatives. Tasks, File Sharing, Calendars And More
Project management and time tracking tools are really helpful for video creatives. I’ve used a few different apps over the years, but overall I’ve been most happy with Asana and Trello when it comes to project management.
Trello is an awesome tool for collaboration and task lists. I’ve been using it for over 2 years now and I love it.
It’s free up to a certain level of users (2-4), then you’ll have to pay a small fee for more users. You can set up as many projects as you like and then add as many lists under that project as you need.
Each list can be given a name/title and there are different boards you can customize too. For example, if you had a website project, you could create a board for each individual page you were working on (eg home page, about page etc) within that project.
The app is really easy to use and has an intuitive interface which makes it perfect for beginners or those who don’t have much experience with project management systems or boards. There are also bots which help automate specific tasks or notifications.
There’s also Asana which is another great task/project management tool, however I find it better suited to larger teams of people.

AI And Programmatic Advertising
Artificial intelligence (AI) is today’s answer to a question that has been asked for hundreds of years: what makes a human smart?
AI is already being used in some highly visible and consumer-facing ways, like virtual assistants like Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa, or the Google search engine.
However, its impact in marketing is just beginning. Some early adopters have already started to integrate AI into the way they do things, but the majority of companies are still trying to wrap their minds around it.
The most common use of AI in advertising right now is in ad personalization and optimization. This means that an advertiser can create one piece of content and have it delivered to multiple “channels” (webpage, mobile app, YouTube videos, etc.)
with very little effort on their part, saving money and more importantly creating a more personalized experience for their customers.
Most marketers who are using this technology are doing so to increase conversion rates because a personalized ad has been proven to get higher response rates than a generic one.
That being said, the possibilities for this technology go far beyond a simple conversion rate increase. For example, one company we’re working with is using machine learning to predict what customers will be interested in based on their web browsing habits.
Vertical Mobile Advertising
Vertical mobile advertising is becoming a very popular form of digital marketing. As the name suggests, vertical mobile advertising is all about creating banner ads that are tall and thin.
This can be done by creating a banner ad in portrait orientation, or by simply centering your existing banner ad in the middle of the page when viewed on phones.
Either way, this method allows you to show off more text, images and call-to-actions than you can with traditional horizontal banner ads. There are many different examples of vertical mobile advertising.
Here are just a few;
Pay Per Click Ads
These are one of the most popular forms of online advertising. By using Pay-Per-Click ads you are charged for each click on your ad.
Vertical mobile advertising gives you the opportunity to show off more information in these ads, so that users can see exactly what they need to know without having to scroll down – which means more clicks for you!
Banner Ads
As previously mentioned, it is possible to create vertical banner ads using your existing horizontal ads. If you have an existing campaign on AdWords or any other Pay Per Click service then this is definitely something that could work well for you.
Artificial Intelligence In Digital Marketing
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the hot topic these days. This technology has been around in some form or the other for ages now.
It is only in recent years that it has become more sophisticated and powerful, allowing computers to perform tasks that were considered impossible till a few years ago. Marketing has been the first casualty of this technological revolution.
A few years ago, it was used only in small circles and on a limited scale. But with advances in technology, AI is becoming increasingly prevalent in marketing too.
This can change the way things are done dramatically. It will take over simple tasks like data input and analysis but will also help marketers make better decisions than ever before.
Artificial intelligence is nothing new; it has been around for quite some time now. In fact, Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s search engine have all benefitted from this technology.
However, it has suddenly become the hottest topic across industries. It has started making its presence felt in digital marketing as well.
Many gurus believe that it can be the biggest change agent since email marketing was introduced to the world of marketing decades ago.

What Is Digital Advertising?
Digital advertising is the use of technology to deliver marketing messages to large or small groups of people. Digital advertisers use web-based advertising, mobile apps and email to communicate with consumers.
Truly, the most common digital ads are those you see on your computer screen in the form of banner ads and pop-up ads. Banner ads are placed on a website by an advertiser in order to promote a product or service.
These ads are typically rectangular and may appear on the top, bottom, left or right side of a webpage. Pop-up ads are full-page advertisements that open in a new window when a user visits a website. These ads are often used for online auctions.
Mobile apps are also used in digital advertising campaigns. Advertisements can be placed within mobile apps, which run on phones and tablets, so that they can be seen while users play games or browse the Internet.
Mobile ads can take many forms, including text links, videos and images.
Advertisers may even include sounds and be able to track how long someone views their ad.

One type of digital advertising strategy involves placing an advertisement directly into an email message that is sent to a consumer’s inbox.
This type of message is known as The Best Creative Advertisements Feature Diversity The best creative advertisements feature diversity, according to the 3rd annual Ad Age Multicultural Brand Index (MABI) study.
Taken from a pool of over 2,000 campaigns, the MABI study analyzed campaigns with multicultural ties and found that those campaigns which featured multiculturalism performed better than their counterparts. The study focused on four categories: representation, inclusion, authenticity and communication.
Representation: A 2014 campaign by Anheuser-Busch for Beck’s imported beer features a couple of German men in lederhosen, celebrating Oktoberfest in Brazil.
The ad was displayed in Brazil during a soccer game between Germany and Brazil during the 2014 World Cup. The ad also ran in Germany prior to the World Cup on WiFi networks at select subway stations.
Inclusion: OnStar’s “Built for You” campaign aimed to promote its safety system by featuring a diverse cast of people driving its vehicles. The cast included an Asian-American couple, an African-American family and a Hispanic family.

Brand Over Product Is A Powerful Creative Digital Advertising Trend
How can you produce a piece of visual material that is guaranteed to capture the attention of the viewer?
A combination of powerful words, an attractive image and a catchy slogan are all-important in marketing and advertising. But a new trend has emerged – brand over product.
It’s a trend that’s been embraced by some of the world’s best advertising agencies and has now become one of the most important creative digital advertising trends. Brand over product is where the branding takes centre stage.
The logo or name of the company is on full display, rather than any products they may be selling. Who uses it?
The idea was first seen in 2012 when Yves Saint Laurent produced their campaign with model Mariacarla Boscono wearing only their iconic YSL logo. Since then, many other big brands have followed suit including Louis Vuitton, Dior, Balenciaga and Versace.
In fact Versace have taken it even further by creating their own range of sunglasses with just the logo emblazoned across them!
So what makes this trend so popular? The reason why this trend works so well is because it’s eye-catching.
When you see a photo or video like this you’re instantly drawn to it – it demands your
Can The Best Creative Advertisements Save The World?
Advertising is a powerful tool for selling products and services. It has the capability of influencing people’s attitudes towards certain brands and products, and can even change social behaviors.
The marketer is not just selling a product, but also promoting an idea or even an ideal.
Truly creative advertisements can catch the attention of people in ways that mass media cannot. It can give them pleasure which in turn will cause them to remember it and pass it on to others.
A truly successful advertisement speaks to the audience in ways that are both pleasing and informative.
Creative advertisements can make brands more popular, or it can also make them hated. If an advertisement is disrespectful towards its target audience, they would reject it immediately and avoid the brand it represents.
This is why a creative advertisement must be able to connect with the public in order to be effective. It should appeal to their senses and emotions if it wants to win them over.
Creative advertisements are not something that is only appreciated by advertising gurus; everyone loves something that has been put together with skill and care, especially when it makes one stop and think about a particular issue or product.
What Makes The Best Advertisements The Best?
Of course, we all know that the best advertisements are the ones that sell the most stuff. But why? And how?
In this post I want to look at what I think are the three most important elements of a great ad (in no particular order):
1.The ad has a clear purpose.
2. The copy is short, simple and direct.
3. The imagery and design help to deliver that message with impact.
Let’s look at these elements in more detail;
The ad should be selling something, but it needs to be selling something specific.
It needs to have a clear goal and a clear strategy for how it’s going to achieve that goal. For example, if you want people to buy your product then there should be a link to your website or sales page in the ad.
This gives people confidence they can trust you and encourages them to buy your product straight away.
If you don’t include such an obvious call to action then the chances are your readers will simply read on because they’re curious about what you’re trying to say – but they won’t do anything about it.”
