You may not know it, but the Office is one of the most popular TV shows ever created. The show follows a fictional paper company and its manager Michael Scott (Steve Carell) as he tries to get through each day with his eccentric employees.

In honor of this hilarious show, we’ve compiled a list of my favorite quotes from Steve Carell’s character Michael Scott.

BEST MICHAEL SCOTT QUOTES

Who Is Michael Scott?

Michael Scott, the eccentric and charming boss from NBC’s The Office, has an iconic place in pop culture.

He is known for his hilarious antics and awkward moments that make him a favorite among viewers on both sides of the screen. Michael Scott was born to be himself, which leads to many comedic situations.

Take a moment to stop and think about your favorite Michael Scott quote. If you can’t remember, I’ll give you the most popular one: “That’s what she said.”

This article will list a number of his best quotes that I hope you’ll enjoy reading!

Best Michael Scott Wayne Gretzky Quote

“If you don’t believe in yourself, nobody’s going to believe in you. And once you get that belief and confidence, then anything is possible.”

The quote is from Episode 7 of Season 1. Michael Scott, the regional manager for Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch, has just learned that another salesman beat him out on a deal with an important client.

He says to his employees: “I am so mad I could spit.” The line was improvised by Steve Carell and it made its way into the show because writers thought it summed up how people feel when they lose something they care about.

The quote “I want to be like Gretzky” is a famous one, and it’s no wonder that Michael Scott made the comparison between himself and hockey legend Wayne Gretzky. Both are considered two of the best in their respective fields.

Michael Scott grew up in Canada as a huge fan of hockey, while growing up in Ohio, so he didn’t have access to professional games on TV or live events until his family moved to Scranton PA when he was 15 years old.

Yet despite not being able to watch pro-hockey from an early age, Michael became obsessed with learning everything there was about the game and eventually becoming like Wayne Gretzky.

In the beginning of Michael Scott’s tenure as regional manager, he was known to be an ineffective boss. He didn’t know how to delegate and would often find himself micromanaging his employees.

Luckily for him, he had a great mentor in John Sculley who taught him valuable lessons about leadership and management. One lesson that Michael learned from John was

“Trust your people.”

This is arguably the best quote from the series because it represents what made Michael a better leader – not being afraid to let go of control and working hard on building relationships with those around him by listening closely to their needs.

Best Michael Scott Quotes About Toby

It’s been almost 10 years since we last saw Michael Scott on the TV show The Office, but his quotes still resonate with fans of the show. This blog post is about some of my favorite Michael Scott quotes about Toby.

Michael Scott, the office manager on NBC’s hit TV show “The Office” has had many hilarious sayings and quotes over the years. The character of Michael Scott is played by actor Steve Carell who won an Emmy for his portrayal of the funny boss.

One famous quote from Michael was about Toby: “I don’t know why they call him ‘Toby.’ He doesn’t look like a toby at all.”

As funny as this quote may be, it might not be such a good idea to let your boss know that you think their name is spelled wrong!

I can’t believe the guy who played Michael Scott on the TV show “The Office” is dead. My favorite quote of his is when he said, “Why does Toby’s family get to mourn him for three days?

His brother got killed and we had a day off.”

Toby Flenderson is often considered the most unlucky character in all of The Office. He has been wrongfully terminated, attacked by a bat, and even had to deal with Michael Scott’s inappropriate advances.

From his first appearance on the show up until now, Toby has played such an important role in The Office that it would be impossible not to mention him when discussing quotes from Michael Scott.

Michael Scott Inspirational Quotes

“I am at a moral crossroads.

Should I work to live or live to work?

My soul has been under attack for a long time now, but it’s finally time for me to take my life back.”

– Michael Scott

No matter what kind of mood you’re in, we have just the right words to brighten your day up!

What Is Michael Scott Safe Word?

Have you ever wondered what Michael Scott’s safe word is? It turns out that there isn’t one. Instead, he just likes to say “I quit!” whenever he feels uncomfortable in a situation.

In Season 2 Episode 5 of The Office, for example, when Michael faces the possibility of being fired from his own company by himself and says “I quit!”, it makes sense as we’ve seen him do this before and really means nothing more than that he doesn’t want to be here anymore.

A safeword is a pre-agreed upon the word, which can be used to stop or slow down activity in BDSM play. It’s important to establish safe words before you start playing with your partner so that they know what you are comfortable with and whatnot.

Is It Better To Be Feared Or Loved Michael Scott?

Is it better to be loved or feared?

This is a question often posed by dictators and tyrants throughout history. But for you, the answer might be different.

Depending on your personality type, being feared may not always win out over being loved. Let’s see if this is true by looking at Michael Scott from The Office TV show as an example.

Michael Scott, the boss from The Office, believes that it is better to be loved than feared. But what if this isn’t always the case?

What if being feared is necessary in order to gain respect and keep people in line?

“Do you want to be feared or loved? Well, it depends… Michael Scott from the hit TV show The Office poses this question in the episode “Scott’s Tots”.

Michael is trying to motivate his employees for a sales presentation. He tells them that being feared will get them what they want– but when he sees their lack of enthusiasm and asks if they would rather be loved instead, he realizes that respect and loyalty must come first.”
