It’s been almost a year since I last wrote an article on Case Study: How I Used LinkedIn To Get 12 New Clients So Far This Year, so I’m here to give you the same thing I was able to do last year.

HOW I USE LINKEDIN

What Is LinkedIn?

LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network.

It was founded in 2003 and has since become the go-to platform for professionals, businesses, and recruiters to connect on a global scale.

Whether you’re looking for your next job or just want to stay up-to-date with what’s happening in your industry, LinkedIn is an invaluable tool that can help you find new connections, mentors, and more opportunities than ever before.

How I Used LinkedIn to Get Twelve New Clients

The more I found out about all the other companies and professionals who were leveraging LinkedIn for their business, the more I saw how I could benefit from using the same strategy to get twelve new clients this year.

Let me tell you what I did.

Writing Your Client Brief

I wrote a message on LinkedIn for every client I had.

I laid out everything I expected from the client, who they were, what my fees would be, and even what my interest was. I also asked them if I could send them news of my activities on LinkedIn.

This was a great way to get new clients and to remind clients of what kind of professional you are.

Follow Potential Clients

I went back to LinkedIn and began following potential clients who were not on my list. It was amazing what I discovered.

I noticed these clients posting on their profiles but I had never checked.

Networking On LinkedIn

When one of the new clients I had contacted saw one of my posts, he called me up. We had not met each other prior to this and when he called me, I was thrilled.

I thanked him for the message and mentioned that I enjoyed the way I had marketed myself on LinkedIn.

He was really excited about this new strategy and mentioned how he was planning to use it for his business as well. I was blown away by his enthusiasm!

Getting Traffic From LinkedIn

Once I had a few new clients using LinkedIn to get new clients, I realized how much traffic I was getting.

I was getting hundreds of visitors just from this tool alone. It was amazing! If I didn’t have LinkedIn, I would have had to spend thousands on web advertisements and other forms of paid advertising to get new leads!

Further Networking Using LinkedIn

Now that I had a few new clients using LinkedIn to get new leads, I wanted to make sure that I was taking advantage of the networking opportunities that LinkedIn gave me.

The first thing that I did was create a username for my Twitter account. Now, I had actually never done this before, but this was going to be my way of branding myself on the platform.

I made a nice, easy-to-remember username and set my keyword-rich description as to what my new Twitter page was all about.

Once I did this, it was much easier for people to find me online.

I was no longer in the basement, but I was now a prominent presence online.

How I Used LinkedIn – Wrapping Up

As I had mentioned before, I had actually already established connections in the industry before I started using LinkedIn for business purposes.

Through these relationships, I had gotten leads in the past, so I knew that there were going to be plenty of opportunities for me to tap into here too.

I started sending out links to my articles and clients that I was working with online. Within a few weeks, I was getting more leads than I usually do on a monthly basis.
