There are the natural sciences like physics, chemistry, biology, and so on. They use the scientific method to solve problems that have answers that can be tested through repeatable experiments by scientists and observers.

In contrast, there are the social sciences. They study human behavior and economics using empirical data, but they cannot be tested through experimentation.

   

Step 1: Define the Problem

Well, let’s say you’re doing a social science project. Like me! And you have to figure out what your problem is before you can go any further.

What is it that you want to know? What question are you trying to answer? This should be pretty straightforward for most projects but if anything is unclear just ask your teacher for help! 

Step 2 Make Observations: 

What do you already know about this problem? Is there a lot of information out there or not much? Are you working with a team or on your own? Well, maybe you have to talk to some people first and find out more information about this problem!

Step 2. Show The Solution In Your Explainer Video

In the end, you’ll have everyone’s attention, but if you don’t take advantage of it, all is for naught. You should use the second part of your video to deliver the solution to your problem or pain point.

Telling people only about the problem and providing a solution without showing one will leave them in the dark about how your product actually works. And if they can’t see how your product works and how it addresses their problem, there’s no way they’re going to buy from you.

Show how your product solves their problem as simply as possible. Don’t fall into the trap of going on and on about it or showing unnecessary parts of your product that don’t add value.

This is where you have to be ruthless in editing down everything that doesn’t speak directly to the customer’s problem. We’ve found the best approach can be summarised in this simple formula: Problem + Solution = Profit.

Why is this so effective? Firstly, it states exactly what you’re going to talk about right up front. This puts people at ease because they know what they’re getting themselves into, and they’re not left in suspense wondering, “How will this help me?”.

Secondly, it gives a clear indication of what they will gain.

Step 3. Show Them How Your Product Helps

The best products solve a problem for the consumer. In this section, tell your story about how you solved the problem better than anyone else.

What is the problem? What is happening to your customers? What are their challenges and frustrations? What needs have they tried to address with other solutions that haven’t worked? What has been keeping them from getting what they really want or need? 

Your solution should be based on research and interviews that you’ve done with potential customers as part of your market research. This can be as simple as a six-word description like “The easiest way to make a great cup of coffee at home.”

Your product description should also include two or more benefits that your customers will experience after purchasing it. These benefits should be quantifiable, specific, and unique to your solution.

The more specific you are about these benefits, the easier it will be for someone to understand quickly why your product is better than anything else on the market. 

Step 4: Show Them How Your Product Helps

In this step, you will prove why your product is worth it. 

What are the features and benefits? What makes it different from similar products. This is the essential part of your sales page because you will be using this information to answer any objections.

While it’s hard to believe that people would buy without seeing actual proof that the product will provide them with what they want, it happens every day. In fact, if you’re unable to show evidence that your product works, people will simply move on to the next vendor who can prove how great their product is.

You’ll also want to make sure that you’re not just telling them about all the things the product can do but rather how they specifically benefit from all those benefits.

Step 5. Call To Action

The goal of a compelling call to action is to inspire your visitors to take the action you want them to take. When done right, a call to action will help you achieve your goals and increase the number of sales that you get from your website.

Telling people what you want them to do is not an effective way to get them to do it. You have to inspire them with a compelling offer, like a discount or a gift.
