Blue is a company that specializes in audio equipment. They are most known for their Yeti and Snowball microphones, but they also make headsets and headphones.

The Blue Yeti Nano is one of their newer products designed for musicians who want a simple USB microphone that can be used with their DAW.

Blue Yeti Nano Microphone Review

What Is The blue yeti nano microphone?

The Blue Yeti Nano microphone is a smaller, more affordable version of Blue’s award-winning Yeti USB microphone.

The Yeti Nano features a newly-designed, compact style and a sophisticated sound chipset that delivers dramatically improved audio quality over onboard computer mics.

It’s easy to use and compatible with both Windows and Mac PCs for hassle-free plug-and-play operation.

The Yeti Nano makes it easier than ever to produce professional recordings on your favorite platform — whether you’re streaming, podcasting or recording vocals and instruments at home.

Blue Yeti Nano Review: Design

The Blue Yeti Nano is a USB condenser microphone.

It uses a tri-capsule array to pick up sound from three different directions- the left, the right, and the rear. It features an on/off switch for the rear capsule, so you can choose to use it or not depending on your preference.

It also comes with a pop filter that attaches magnetically to the base. The capsule itself is encased in a metal mesh to prevent any interference from nearby objects.

This microphone has three settings:

cardioid, bidirectional, and omnidirectional.

The cardioid setting picks up sounds directly in front of the mic while rejecting sound from other directions.

The bidirectional setting picks up sound equally well from both sides while rejecting sound from behind.

Finally, the omnidirectional setting picks up sound equally well from all around the mic while rejecting sound from directly in front or behind it.

The Blue Yeti Nano is a plug and play device. It comes with a USB cord, which is all you need to use it.

I had purchased a Blue Yeti Microphone previously and found that it required an adapter for my laptop so that I could plug it in.The Nano does not require this.

So for anyone who has purchased the larger one and needs the adapter, you can use the adapter for your new Blue Yeti Nano! I like that The Blue Yeti Nano comes with a stand.

If your computer is not on a solid surface, you can use the stand to raise the Nano up a bit so that your voice will be picked up better.

It also comes with a pop filter screen that goes on top of your microphone to help keep out any unwanted “p” or “b” sounds from popping onto the recording.

That has been helpful when speaking into the microphone directly because I tend to make those sounds when I get excited or if my mouth is dry while recording.

For anyone looking to purchase this, you can either buy just the mic or you can get it as part of a bundle. With the bundle, you get an awesome shock mount, tripod stand, and pop filter screen (which I really like).

The device measures 6.3 inches (H) x 3.8 inches (W) x 1.5 inches (D) and weighs in at approximately 1.25 pounds, so it’s quite a bit smaller than the original Yeti and about the same size as the Snowball iCE Condenser Microphone from Blue.

The front of the Yeti Nano features a glossy black plastic grille with a logo in the center and four small rubber feet to keep it stable on your desktop or table top.

The backside is made of matte black plastic with some product information printed on it and a slot to attach the included USB cable.

The bottom of the device has another slot for attaching your tripod or other mount, which is definitely a nice touch that was missing from the original model.

For those looking for an even smaller version of the Yeti, you can check out Blue’s Snowball iCE Condenser Microphone or the Rode NT-USB Condenser Microphone .

The front of the Yeti Nano features a headphone jack, volume knob, mute switch, and gain dial along with two LEDs for power and mute status so you can easily control your microphone settings from your desktop. The controls are some of my favorite features as they feel sturdy enough to last.

Blue Yeti Nano Review: Blue Sherpa Software

The Blue Yeti Nano is a fantastic USB microphone. It comes with a 3-year warranty and a 30-day money back guarantee.

Tight Bass and Clear Treble The first thing I noticed when using it is that it has a really tight bass response. This means that your recordings are going to have a great deal of punch to them, especially if you like to play music for your subscribers.

If you’re an artist or vlogger, this microphone is definitely worth considering! You can hear the tight bass in this video:The next thing I noticed about the Blue Yeti Nano was how clear the treble was.

There were no muddiness or overtones at all, which made my voice sound very crisp and professional.

You can hear how clear my voice sounds in this video:Amazing for Podcasting I am currently in the process of starting a podcast and wanted to be able to record in stereo since most podcasts have at least two hosts.

The Blue Yeti Nano allows me to do just that with its dual recording capabilities, which I talk more about later on in this post.

The Blue Yeti Nano is a fantastic microphone for podcasting and streaming. I’ve been using this mic with my broadcasts, and have been very happy with it.

It’s audio is crystal clear, and it’s got a ton of features that help you produce great sounding recordings. When I first started streaming on Mixer, I was looking for a cheaper option to the popular XLR mics that streamers were using.

The Blue Yeti Nano fit the bill perfectly, and even out performed a few of those XLR mics that streamers were using.

If you’re looking for an affordable streaming microphone for your podcasts or streams, this is the one for you!I did a review video about this microphone on my YouTube channel if you want to check it out:

The Pros:

Sound Quality – This thing records in crystal clear sound.

There’s no static, no interference, no noise. Just pure audio that sounds awesome!

Noise Cancellation – The Blue Yeti Nano has what they call “HearThrough” technology which allows you to hear everything around you while still recording your voice.

Blue Yeti Nano Review: Sound Quality

The back of the mic has a headphone jack so you can listen to yourself while you’re recording, as well as volume controls which allow you to adjust the volume on the fly without having to mess around with your computer or software when you’re recording. This is awesome if you’re in a noisy room.

Now, you’ve probably heard of the Yeti, as it’s something of a legend in the mic game. It probably doesn’t need explaining that it’s a top-of-the-range mic, but it does need pointing out that this one is specifically for PC use, whereas other models from Blue (like the Yeti Pro and Yeti Blackout) are for Mac use.

Thing is, this particular model is something of a big deal. It comes with a swish stand, a pop filter and a mount to attach it to a mic stand – all things you’ll find useful when you’re using the device.

The biggest selling point here is the fact that there are four polar patterns available – cardioid, omnidirectional, bidirectional and stereo. That’s right – you can record music in stereo with this bad boy! The icing on the cake?

The fact that Blue have put additional sound protection on this model means you get no pick up of background noise like you would with less advanced models.

I am a voice actor and have been since 2008. I’ve been using Blue microphones for years, specifically the Yeti Pro.

Towards the end of last year, Blue released the Yeti Nano, a smaller version of the original. This was perfect for me, as I needed something portable for my new job as a remote employee for a company in Australia.

The smaller size also allowed me to fit more equipment into my carry-on luggage for travel to various conventions.

Blue Yeti Nano Review: Price And Availability

The Blue Yeti Nano is a great product, and we recommend it if you’re on the market for a USB microphone. It’s versatile, easy to use, and offers fantastic performance and value.

If you’re biased against desktop microphones, or if you like the idea of a portable mic that plugs straight into your laptop, this is a great option. Blue makes professional-quality microphones available to all levels of users, from hobbyists to professionals.

The company has been around since 1999 and everything they make is made in America.Their reputation speaks for itself with more than 500 awards from audio engineers worldwide.

Their products are used by the likes of Jay Z, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Katy Perry among others. The Blue Yeti Nano offers big sound in a small space.

It has three condenser capsules that capture every nuance of your voice. The result is high-quality audio reproduction every time with little effort on your part.

When you buy the Blue Yeti Nano you’ll get a desktop stand which has controls for headphone volume adjustment as well as mix control so that you can blend in music or other sounds with your voice. You also get an XLR cable so that you can connect directly to an XLR input on a mixer.

The Blue Yeti Nano is one of the smallest USB microphones available, making it convenient for recording on the go.It’s a great option for podcasters, musicians, and anyone recording instruments or vocals.

However, it doesn’t have the best sound quality compared to similar mics in its class. It is well-suited for podcasters, musicians, and anyone else recording in a home studio.

The Yeti Nano has a headphone jack so you can listen to what you’re recording in real time.It comes with a 20-inch cable that connects it to your computer via USB.

I would have liked to see a longer cable since the included one is too short for some setups and might get tangled up with other cables on your desk if you use it on a desktop computer.

The Blue Yeti Nano is a USB microphone that records audio in very high quality.

It is made by Blue Microphones, a company based in Quebec and has been in the business since 1997.The Blue Yeti Nano is designed to deliver studio-quality sound.

In fact, it can record 16 bit resolution and a sample rate of 48 kHz.The Blue Yeti Nano comes with three different pattern modes: stereo, cardioid, and omnidirectional.

It is designed to leave out the unnecessary sounds from your background as it has several noise cancellation features such as noise-canceling dual capsule design and four built-in microphones that help eliminate unwanted noises from your background. The price of the Blue Yeti Nano is $129.99 for the standard version or $149 for the pro version that comes with an extended frequency range.

The mic comes with an 18 months warranty as well as lifetime support and a 45 days return policy that gives you money back if you are not satisfied with its performance.

Blue Yeti Nano Microphone Quality

The Blue Yeti Nano is a great portable USB microphone. It has four different pattern settings that can be used for various applications.

The best one to use will really depend on what you are recording and what it sounds like. You can use the Cardioid setting for vocals, for example, and the Stereo setting for music.

This mic is great for recording audio for YouTube videos or podcasts. It is small enough to transport with ease and it’s easy to set up.

Just plug in your headphones or earbuds into the 3.5 mm headphone jack, flip the gain switch to high if you need more volume and then press record on your computer!

The quality of this microphone is excellent whether you are recording voice overs, instruments, or even interviews. It is also very versatile and can record at distances up to 20 feet away from your subject!

This is great if you’re trying to record a conference call or even a lecture in class.

It is a really good microphone to use for gaming, video recording, and basically any other form of audio recording. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a really high quality microphone that has great sound quality.

This would be perfect for someone who’s starting out as a streamer or wants to make videos on YouTube.

TIP: If you want to further enhance the sound quality of your Blue Yeti Nano, record the audio directly into your computer with a USB cable instead of going through your microphone jack. You’ll get a much better sound quality that way.

I bought this mic to replace an ageing Yeti Pro I had been using for podcasting and found it to be a great upgrade. The sound quality is fantastic and the controls are easy enough to use.

The only issue I have with it is that the software isn’t perfect (it’s still beta), but the best bit of this mic is the price. For just over £100 you get a high-quality mic that is well built and will last you for years.

If you’re looking for a mic that won’t break the bank, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Blue Yeti Nano Mic vs Competitor Mics

“Is the Blue Yeti Nano Mic any good?” That’s our most common question. Yes, it is.

And we’ll tell you why. Also, we’ll compare it to some other popular mics so you can make a more informed choice.

Before we get started, let’s talk about what makes a good quality microphone for recording voice overs. Microphone Type What do you need?

A USB mic, an XLR mic or both? There are two types of microphones: dynamic and condenser.

Dynamic microphones are best for podcasting because of their low cost and ease of use. Condenser microphones are best for those wanting to record music and vocals.

If you want to do both, then it doesn’t matter so much which one you choose. The Blue Yeti Nano is a condenser mic that supports USB and XLR connections.

It also has a gain control built into the mic, unlike the competitors that require either a preamp or an additional mixer to achieve a similar sound quality. If you want to record vocals or acoustic instruments then go with a dynamic microphone like the Audio-Technica AT2020USB+.

The truth about the Blue Yeti Nano Microphone is that it compares very favorably to other similar microphones. In fact, for many purposes, the Blue Yeti Nano is the best mic for YouTube and gaming due to its flexibility and high quality sound.

What makes this microphone different from some of the other microphones reviewed here is that it has multiple uses. It’s not just a gaming or YouTube mic, although it is a fantastic mic for those purposes as well.

The Blue Yeti Nano also has a USB interface built in, allowing you to plug it into any computer and use it as you would any other microphone. The difference, of course, is that with the Yeti Nano, you can use it across multiple computers without having to worry about an interface cable or setting up a separate pre-amp.

The Blue Yeti Nano is also one of the most flexible microphones on the market today. It can be used with a variety of input sources including guitar amps, electronic instruments and many more.

Recording drums with this microphone is a snap! It’s perfect for recording vocals for podcasts and singers will love how easy it is to focus on their voice when using this mic.

I did not want to spend a lot of money on a microphone for my podcast and I wanted something at least decent. I didn’t really know what to look for, so I did my research.

My first stop was the Blue Yeti site where I saw the Nano as an option.I was intrigued by the fact that it had an adjustable stand and a headphone jack built in.

This is important because even though it is relatively small in size, you still need a place to set it on (not all mics come with one) and you also need to be able to hear yourself talking.

The headphone jack allows you to hear your voice through the mic while speaking which is key for ensuring you are loud enough but not too loud.

There was also an option for connecting the mic directly to your computer via USB.This helped me make my decision and I ordered the Blue Yeti Nano from Amazon.

It only cost $49.99 plus shipping and handling which made me feel like it was worth a try. After all, what’s $50 if you don’t like it? It came with an 18″ stand that was adjustable from 25″ – 46″ so it could sit on my desk or on a boom arm attached to my mixer.

Blue Yeti Nano Review: Verdict

The Blue Yeti Nano is a great quality microphone with a lot of features. For the price, it is hard to beat and you can’t go wrong getting this one.

It has everything you could want in a USB mic. This microphone is made for recording vocals, podcasts and gaming.

It comes with a stand and headphone monitoring port to help your recordings come out right. The sound quality is crystal clear, without any static or interference that I could hear while using it.

I am extremely impressed with the quality of sound that this microphone produces. It really helps to have a high quality microphone as part of your home recording set up.

I also love how easy this microphone is to use and how portable it is.It comes with a stand but can be used on any surface if you can’t bring the stand along.

The only thing that prevents me from giving this product an A+ rating is because there were two minor issues that I noticed after receiving my mic: one being what sounds like some very slight feedback when recording, and the other being some very minor static when not recording that goes away once you start recording again (this can be heard in some of my sample recordings). All in all though, the Blue Yeti Nano USB Microphone is pretty much perfect.

I’m a proud owner of the Blue Yeti microphone, and I absolutely love it. It’s been a mainstay in my arsenal of audio recording equipment for years now.

The only problem is that it’s very big, not portable at all, and very expensive as is.Trying to find a more compact and affordable alternative led me to the Blue Yeti Nano, which solves all of the problems I had with the full-size version.

However, I was still hesitant because I didn’t know how good it was going to be.Thankfully, I’ve had no issues with this little device, and it’s actually better than the full-size version in several areas.

The Blue Yeti Nano is a great little microphone for those who are looking to get into streaming and YouTube videos! It’s surprisingly good sound quality for the price and thesize.

Plus you can’t really beat the sleek design and blue LED.The best part about this microphone is that it comes with a stand and a mount so you have many different options on where to position it!

It’s definitely worth the investment if you’re looking for high quality audio, but don’t want to make a big commitment.

There are a few downsides like the stability of the mic as well as some software issues that could use improvement. Overall I think this is definitely worth checking out!
