The Panasonic GH5S is a mirrorless camera with a Micro Four Thirds (MFT) sensor, a very capable video camera, and the first MFT camera to offer 4K in 10-bit.

It can shoot 4K at 60 frames per second (fps), and 1080p at up to 240 fps for slow-motion playback. The GH5S also has a Cinema 4K mode which allows you to shoot 4096 x 2160 at 24p or 24p over-crank.

It’s not a cinema camera by any means, but it does have features that will help the serious videographer get more professional-looking results.

Another bonus of the GH5S is its low light performance; Panasonic claims it has the best low light video performance of any MFT camera currently on the market. We put this claim to the test in our lab tests and in our real-world testing.

The GH5S is also a very competent stills camera with an impressive burst mode of 12 fps with continuous autofocus and 18 fps without.

However, its lack of an electronic viewfinder (EVF) was annoying for many photographers who prefer using one for framing their shots.

So what do you get for that extra $800?

A lot actually, as the GH5 comes with some pretty advanced video recording features while also offering top-of-line stills capabilities.

In fact, the Panasonic GH5 is one of the most well-rounded cameras on the market today.

What Is The panasonic gH5s?

The Panasonic GH5S is more than just an update to the popular GH5. It’s a whole new camera that combines some of the best features of Panasonic’s GH and G-series cameras into one body.

The new camera is designed specifically for video shooters and is much smaller than the GH5. But it’s also meant to be a stills camera, too.

It has dual SD card slots, just like the GH5, but it also has a USB-C port for charging the battery.

The first thing you’ll notice about the GH5S is its small size. The handgrip has been redesigned so that it feels like a normal camera instead of a miniaturized version of a DSLR.

It fits perfectly in your hand and makes shooting video much easier than before.

The next thing you’ll notice is that there are no buttons on the back of the camera.

Instead, all of your controls are located on top of the grip and along the right side of the body. This makes it easier to operate with one hand while shooting video.

What Is The Panasonic GH5?

The Panasonic GH5 is an impressive camera.

It utilizes a 20MP Live MOS sensor, has a max ISO of 51,200 (for stills) and 409,600 (for video), dual SD card slots, WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity and it shoots at up to 12 fps without focus or exposure limitations.

In many ways, it can be considered a cheaper alternative to the $4,500 Canon 1D X Mark II since both cameras have nearly identical resolution for stills — 20MP on both — and similar video capabilities with 4K UHD at 24 fps on both.

The GH5 even has full 10-bit 4:2:2 internal video recording while Canon’s flagship crop sensor DSLR is limited to 8-bit 4:2:0.

The Panasonic GH5 is a stunning camera that shoots 4K video and has a wealth of features which will appeal to both professionals and amateurs.

So what does it look like, what’s it capable of and where can you get one for yourself? We take a look at the key facts to see if it is the best camera for you.

Panasonic GH5 Review – What’s New, and What’s the Difference Between it and the GH4?

Description:You’ve probably seen a lot of videos from both DSLR and mirrorless cameras claiming to have amazing video capabilities. The truth is that, most of them are not actually good for video.

If you’re looking to shoot high quality video, you’ll want something with Dual Image Stabilization (Dual IS), rather than just one IS mode. You’ll also want to look out for an external microphone jack so you can record better audio.

Panasonics GH5 has both of these features as well as many others.Let’s go over some of the highlights of this camera and why it’s so great for shooting video:Dual IS System Panasonic was the first company to introduce image stabilization system in their cameras years ago and they’ve been refining it ever since.

The dual IS system helps to reduce shaky images by 5 stops and image blur by 2 stops. This means that your video will appear much more professional than those shot from a non-stabilized camera.

The GH5 has a 6k photo mode which allows you to take 18MP photos even though the camera is only capturing 8MP images in 4:3 aspect ratio

You need to go into the camera’s settings and change the recording time limit under the timecode settings This will stop the camera from becoming confused and help you record longer clips.

If you can’t get a recording past 29 minutes, then you should be able to increase the clip length by changing this setting. The Panasonic GH5 has a limit of 29 minutes, 59 seconds for recording in 4K 24p mode.

In 4K 25p mode, it will record for a maximum of 28 minutes and 59 seconds. The GH4 has a maximum recording limit of 29 minutes, 59 seconds in 4K 24p mode as well.

Hi there, I’m an editor for a video production company and we’re looking to purchase a compact camera for our run-and-gun style shoots. We want one that can shoot in 4k (for my Cinema 4k footage) and 1080p. Do you know if the Panasonic GH5 has a recording limit or if it buffers like some other models? Thanks!

Does The Panasonic Gh5s Have Ibis?

The Gh5s is a 200MP micro four thirds camera with 4k video. It costs about $2,500.

The GH5 is the same but with higher resolution (400MP). So does it have IBIS? No.

The 5s has Panasonic’s Dual IS system that uses the body along with lenses to stabilize the image in video and stills. This has worked well for me in my early tests and I’d say it rivals Olympus’s EIS system.

But what if you already own some Panasonic lenses that have IBIS? Sadly, they won’t work on the Gh5 or 5s due to the lack of an IBIS mount. The GH5 has been out for a while, but it’s a great camera and currently sells for half the price of its sibling at $1,500.

My main complaint is that it can be difficult to shoot handheld because of the small sensor size with long focal lengths (200-400mm). With IBIS on Micro Four Thirds cameras like the GX9 and GX85, you can get sharp images at very low shutter speeds even without a tripod.

The GH5 does not have this feature because its sensor is larger at 20MP compared to 17MP on the GX9/GXYes, it does. The Panasonic GH5s is a mirrorless camera that offers in-camera image stabilization (IBIS).

Tilt the camera in any direction and the IBIS system will detect movement and compensate to counteract it. If you’re using a lens with optical stabilization, the system will detect that and turn the feature off automatically.

Compared to its predecessor, the GH5 offers some interesting upgrades. The question is how these upgrades will affect your photography.

How is the GH5 different than the GH4?One of the biggest differences between these two cameras is that the GH4 only shoots 4K at 24fps, while the GH5 can shoot 4K at 60fps. This can be helpful when you’re shooting fast-paced action like sports or wildlife.

The GH4 offers 5-axis stabilization, while the new GH5 offers 6-axis stabilization. This may sound like a small change, but it’s actually pretty significant because it allows you to shoot with wider lenses without getting shaky footage.
